My Baby's A Winner!

I know, like, two people will care about this post. But then, only ten people consistently read this thing, so whatever!

Like a proud father, I've just learned that my lil' darling Andrew is a true winner! The Mazdaspeed 3 was pitted against some steep competition by Cars.com - MINI Cooper S, Honda Civic Si, and the Volkswagon GTI. And my car was king of the streets : )

Of course, Andrew is black (the only color worth having)

I don't know why, but it made me feel better about my purchase. I'm by no means a gearhead, but I certainly appreciate a car that performs well. And because I enjoy the experience of motoring, I like to know I'm doing it in a machine that is well-balanced and fun to take through the bends.

AND it's ironic because I sold my MINI for this car. The funny part is that many folks at the MINI discussion boards are conceding the truth about the Mazda, which is odd because MINI people are big-time believers in their cars. I know, I was one of them.

Anyway, that's about it. If you're interested, here a link to the Motoringfile website that will take you to the full Cars.com review. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to grab some pavement.

Happy motoring!

Uh....good job? Not entirely sure how to respond to this blog, but I know just reading it doesn't count ;0) By the way, the car pic didn't show up. Enjoy your drive!

I've always meant to congratulate you on your latest set of wheels. While my admiration for your previous car really only extended to the fact that someone had the balls to bring it to market with the same name legendary name, the Mazdaspeed 3 is truly deserving of respect. The only cars that can give yours a run and still be in close to the same class are the Mitsubishi Evo and Subaru WRX in full battle regalia, which then cost half again as much as your car. I'm waiting for the new drivetrain to show up in the Mazda5, and then strap in all the performance power and suspension parts from Mazdaspeed (intended for modestly equipped Mazda3's) to make a Mazdaspeed 5. Oh yeah!

Oh Adva - thanks for placating me with a message. Blogger has been weird lately with not showing some pics.

Kenny - LOL for the tricked out and tuned up Mazda 5! You'll be the rocking soccer dad of envy. I've yet to take on a WRX, but I know the STI's will blow me out of the water.

Bubz - now you know why I stole that photo -- it's hawt!!

Army mom - hmm... Saturn Vue or Mazdaspeed 3? Let's see here... I think you should just buy one too. I mean, you and Jim had the same car for a while, so now it's our turn. Don't show favorites with your sons!

I felt the same way when I read several reports of the Rav 4 pretty much kicking the ass of all of the other compact SUVs in the market because of its performance, economy, and cargo room. :)

Your car rocks, babe! I can't wait to meet Andrew!

I forgot to mention that the car actually DOES look hot in red too. And I'm not just saying that because I have a hot red car. Psh... I take issue with your inability to be colorblind. LOL
